The best places to find unique accessories and clothing is when you are travelling the world. Whilst perusing the greek islands or walking through the streets of india, always keep your eyes open for a treasure. Sometimes an unusual colour is all that it takes to put an outfit on hold.

On special request from tea connoisseur and blogger Aimee, i have put together an outfit of beautiful burgundy. I admit i have fallen in love with the Gucci tote and Kenneth Jay Lane Cuff. I have stuck to a strict palette of black and burgundy to make it easy for anyone to replicate. Although a deep dark green would look exquisite along side these tones. Practicality is vital in this vintage get-up to create a wearable outfit for our day to day life. A large tote to fit everything we always needed, a scarf to put on when the cold is too much to handle and your trusted black skinny jeans which flatter any figure. 

If you are a vintage or Opp shop lover, then make your mark by adding one of a kind trinkets and clothes that you have stumbled across. This will add a personal touch and some character to your day wear.

The last 24 hours have been a beautiful form of chaos with the MYER SS 12/13 fashion launch taking place at Sydney's Hordern Pavillion. 

The stunning Jennifer Hawkins and shirtless Kris Smith worked their magic on the runway along side over 40 other  perfect beings. The fashion show presented an African theme through the custom-made dresses, chunky accessories, fiery orange lipstick, glowing tans and dip dyed hair. My ultimate favourites were ELLERY, Sass and Bide and Aurelio Costarella. The mixtures of fabrics and textures especially the feathers and sequins were to be envied.  Stylist ROMY from 'Style Me Romy' was present every step of the way ensuring that every look was executed to perfection.

Hair and Makeup

Hair was done Kevin Murphy and included a centre part low pony tail with a dip died orange end to compliment the African theme found in several of the designer outfits. Makeup was done by Natasha Severino and her Yves Saint Laurent team who created a neutral eye with a defined cheek bone and the occasional fierce orange lip colour.

We always love to wear a T-shirt with jeans, but i have my sights set on this awesome Ksubi Tee. It can work for both day and night time (just add cute pumps and the Haute Hippie sequin mini skirt featured previously). When cruising around during your day, never leave home without your trusted sunglasses... We have Alexander Wang to thank for these cool black and silver Aviators that will shield our eyes from the harsh sunlight as we cruise the streets. The Ksubi biker jacket is the perfect length to throw on with jeans and is durable enough to wear at any occasion.

HOODIE

Still feeling a little cold, add some layers with this Sambag Cashmere off-white Paris Hoodie. Throw this under your Ksubi leather jacket for that added layer of comfort and warmth.

As a tribute to my good friend Izzy (who is obsessed with pink blazers and sequin skirts) I have created an outfit ready to take on the world. The use of wardrobe staples such as a black sequin skirt and a peplum top allows the free integration of colours and textures of your own choosing. The shapes and colours of the accessories have been chosen to compliment the amazing peak shouldered blazer by Alexander McQueen. The beautiful necklace from the Dot Dash collection by Tom Binns is to be admired as he creates intricate masterpieces that should decorate every ladies neck line. The Alexander McQueen Suede Pumps add some attitude with the signature skulls and studs. This outfit is the perfect equilibrium between attitude and glamour. 

Asset Management

Cowl-neck is coming back...  This can help many of us show off our greatest assets. It is always ideal to pick two areas to accentuate, in this case it is our cleavage and long lustrous legs which will appear even longer when you wear the Versace leather platform.
